Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening in the Online Retail space for a Senior Engagement Manager with a proven technical acumen, experience writing/costing delivering projects and SOWs end to end to place at our client.

Start date: ASAP.

Location: Toronto

Hybrid: might be some minimal travel in North America (once a quarter), but mainly remote. In the first month could 1-2 days a week.

OVERVIEW

Our Client is seeking a skilled Engagement Manager to contribute to our Enterprise Solutions business. The Engagement Manager will work with Our Client’s technical and business teams to spearhead the delivery of professional services opportunities, orchestrating a clear estimation, contracting, planning and technical project delivery experience for our enterprise partners. This role is crucial to maturing our Client’s professional services offering, by further enabling their customers to take advantage of

high impact customization and integration opportunities, while also championing business process work to ensure the engagements truly drive mutual business value.

ABOUT THE JOB

? Oversee the Professional Services process ensuring that engagements are properly

executed and are refined and improved upon.

? Opportunity Development: Create, own and manage all aspects of a Professional

Services opportunity. Craft and implement service delivery strategies to align with

Our Client’s goals and retail partners' expectations. Drive quote, pricing and deal

approval for new business and existing engagements.

? Contract Management: Independently author and own Fixed Price and Time &

Material contracts (Statement of Work, Change Orders, etc.) Work closely with

Business, Legal , Finance and Accounting to ensure alignment across multiple

functions involved in contract execution. Understand the company’s revenue

forecasting process to accurately forecast revenue across all assigned engagements.

? Partner Management: Establish and cultivate relationships with retail partners, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement. Ensure alignment of our services with the partner objectives and proactively managing their needs and expectations.

? Lead complex technical programs overseeing external partner delivery and internal custom software development workstreams, including:

? Project Planning: Develop expert understanding of the partner expectations, business needs and technical solution requirements of each Professional Services engagement.

Drive detailed scoping required to define technical requirements accurately, facilitate technical solutioning and garner alignment with cross-functional product/engineering teams required to generate solution scope and execution plan that meets both partner and Our Client’s expectations.

? Project Execution: Command project execution with a focus on speed and efficacy. Orchestrate the project team's activities with precision, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, and that contractual and financial reporting is accurate. Develop and maintain essential documents, fostering a culture of transparency and seamless information ?ow among all stakeholders, driving the project forward with momentum.

? Technical & Operational Roll-Out: Assume full responsibility for the deployment of enterprise fulfillment / ads solutions, applying your clear understanding of Our Client’s ways of working. Champion solution quality through rigorous testing and UAT processes. Collaborate consistently with technical and operational teams to craft and refine roll-out strategies and post-launch support plans. Ensure contract and financial obligations are met and properly closed out.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum Qualifications

? Bachelor’s degree in a relevant ?eld or substantial industry experience with a track record of successfully delivering enterprise-level SaaS and complex integration projects to external enterprise clientele.

? Experience with professional service delivery frameworks, sales and contract support, project estimation and costing, risk management, and resource planning and allocation.

? Strong grasp of program management methodologies, with the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, manage resource allocations, and technical execution.

? Deep comprehension of multi-tiered software solutions and large-scale operational roll-outs, with hands-on experience effectively managing cross-functional dependencies and troubleshooting technical challenges.

? Rapid technical mastery, with the ability to quickly absorb and understand the nuances of software solutions, and technical frameworks. Can lead problem solving, effectively engage subject-matter experts to streamline technical implementation.

? Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills, paired with a sharp attention to both details and overarching project objectives. An expert in facilitating highly productive internal and external meetings - and creating assets and processes which drive project clarity at every step.

? A proven leader, with an ability to galvanize teams, foster collaboration, and motivate individuals to exceed their potential, and a track record of driving positive outcomes by leveraging informed, data-driven methods to effectively guide, persuade, and influence customer and team decisions.

? Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with Engineering and Product Managers.

Preferred Qualifications

? Experience in Retail Technology, Operations or Logistics.

? Certifications such as PMP, SCM, or ITIL are advantageous.

? Mastery in program management / process improvement methodologies
