Job Description Summary

This position oversees the compliance services team supporting JLL client sites in the Healthcare vertical. The role involves developing and implementing compliance strategies, including creating policies, procedures, and tools while assessing program compliance at hospital sites. The compliance services team provides accreditation support, consulting engagements for new/existing clients, trains FM staff, and develops facility management strategies to enhance client quality and compliance programs. They communicate with client leaders at various levels, offer operational guidance aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and manage a team of subject matter experts. Additionally, they support new business opportunities and maintain key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

Relationship Management/Operations

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the compliance services team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement comprehensive compliance programs and policies to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the compliance team, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and resource management.

  • Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance in compliance-related activities.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and individual team members, and regularly review progress against these metrics.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team, encouraging professional development and staying updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into business processes and decision-making.

  • Lead internal audits and compliance reviews, identifying areas of potential risk and developing action plans to address them.

  • Provide guidance and support to team members in handling complex compliance issues and escalations.

  • Represent the compliance services team in meetings with senior management, presenting reports on compliance activities, risks, and recommendations.

  • Manage relationships with external regulators, auditors, and other compliance-related stakeholders.

  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for the organization, ensuring all employees understand their compliance obligations.

  • Evaluate and implement compliance technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of compliance processes.

  • Manage the team's budget, including forecasting, allocation, and cost control measures.

Executive Reporting

Prepare/develop the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client

Budgeting

Develop and maintain travel budget related to Quality & Compliance program performance (Surveys, Prep Visits, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Education/training

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management/technical emphasis

  • Preferred: MBA

Years of relevant experience

  • Minimum of 10 years facility management experience including in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and operational experience including building systems, mechanical/electrical systems, architectural maintenance, and instrumentation/automation within the healthcare setting.

Skills and knowledge

  • Proficient in Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs

  • Strong organizational and management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work both in a team and independently

  • Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills; strong emphasis on customer service

  • Excellent business writing and verbal communications

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Success working with subcontractors/vendors supporting mutual safety objectives

Estimated total compensation for this position:

170,000.00 - 220,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
