The opportunity
Delaware North is hiring a Senior Director of Design and Construction, Gaming to join our team.
Our ideal candidate has experience in gaming projects which may include Gaming (Casino), Hospitality (Hotel), Retail, Meeting/Conference and Food & Beverage outlets.
As a Senior Director of Design and Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing gaming projects to ensure design, architectural review, estimating, and execution of capital development projects for projects based around the US. This position is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and requires 50% travel. Due to the level of travel, this position can be remote.

Pay
Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $132,100 - $178,400 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. What will you do?
- Coordinate initial planning for gaming and hospitality projects including programming, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and entitlements
- Manage design activities and lead stakeholder engagement to ensure Delaware North best practices are integrated into project development
- Maintain project schedule and budget by facilitating meetings, conducting value engineering, and reporting issues that impact timelines or costs
- Oversee construction documentation and material selections, review milestone submissions, and communicate cost implications of design changes
- Lead construction RFP and bid processes, negotiate contracts, and supervise on-site activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
- Manage procurement of FFE, oversee third-party representatives, conduct site visits, and maintain records in accordance with Delaware North policies
More about you
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong preference for experience in casino and gaming project management, including both ground-up construction and renovations to existing casino facilities
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an owner's representative or lead project manager for a construction manager or general contractor, overseeing projects exceeding $75 million
- Construction project management experience in casino and gaming ground-up construction and renovations to existing casino facilities
- Experience in purchasing, budgeting, negotiating, and awarding contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Blue Beam, AutoCAD, and PMWeb is required.
