We're seeking a Senior Director of Global Public Relations to lead our global PR efforts. Based in our San Jose, CA office and reporting to the VP of Global Communications, you will be responsible for:

 

• Setting and executing the global public relations strategy to advance Zscaler's brand and business goals
• Acting as a strategic leader and player-coach, driving product PR and mentoring regional PR leads
• Developing thought leadership, media relations, and stakeholder engagement initiatives across regions
• Leading content creation and crisis communications to manage and strengthen Zscaler's reputation
• Translating complex technical concepts in networking and cybersecurity into accessible, compelling content for diverse audiences including media outlets, investors, customers, and partners

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

 

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in PR, communications, or media relations, including work in networking and cybersecurity
• Strong expertise in communicating complex technical concepts related to networking and cybersecurity to media, investors, customers, and partners
• Proven success managing global PR campaigns with measurable results in brand awareness and reputation
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis communications and mitigating reputational risks
• Player-coach leadership style with hands-on and mentorship capabilities

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

 

• Experience representing or working with cybersecurity companies, familiarity with Zscaler's solutions or similar technologies
• Established relationships with influential media outlets and tech journalists in cybersecurity and enterprise IT
• Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills with a track record of developing gold-standard content

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$196,000—$280,000 USD
