About the Role
Title: Sr Creative Development Manager - Video Director
Location: Overland Park United States
Job Description:
At T-Mobile, we invest in YOU! Our Total Rewards Package ensures that employees get the same big love we give our customers. All team members receive a competitive base salary and compensation package - this is Total Rewards. Employees enjoy multiple wealth-building opportunities through our annual stock grant, employee stock purchase plan, 401(k), and access to free, year-round money coaches. That's how we're UNSTOPPABLE for our employees!
- This position must be located in Bellevue, WA or Overland Park, KS. This is not a remote role. This is a hybrid schedule, requiring at least 3 days a week in office.
At T-Mobile, we don't just lead in wireless-we lead in redefining what it means to be connected.
You've got a passion for brand storytelling-and the chops to back it up. As a Video Director, you'll be pushing creative boundaries and unlocking fresh ways of storytelling. You'll bring ideas to life from concept through final cut, guiding every frame along the way. You're hands-on, detail-driven, and fluent in the full filmmaking process.
This is a fast-moving, high-impact role-one that thrives on energy, collaboration, and a sharp creative POV. You bring confidence, clarity, and a strong sense of what makes a story land-whether it's designed for a small screen or a big stage.
You know how to craft a compelling visual narrative, whether you're shooting documentary-style stories or capturing bold, performance-driven content. Interviews? You ask the right questions and know how to draw out the gold. Talent? You're comfortable directing pros, internal teams, or everyday people. Whether it's a nimble shoot in a remote location or a larger-scale production, you've got the vision-and the crew knows it.
You stay sharp on what's trending and understand how content hits differently across platforms. You're collaborative, clear in communication, organized under pressure, and always ready to roll-literally (yes, travel is a big part of the gig).
This is a role for someone who brings vision, builds trust, and doesn't mind getting into the details. You leave your ego at the door, bring people along, and push for work that's smart, fast, and feels like T-Mobile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of production-from cameras and lighting to directing talent and guiding projects from shoot to final cut
- Oversee the on-set experience, partnering with production teams
- Own the creative vision, from pitching ideas to making smart, strategic calls that drive impact
- Develop and present amazing treatments and storyboards
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members across departments.
- Partner closely with producers to carry the creative torch through every phase of production
- Frequent travel sometimes with little or no notice.
- Stay sharp on creative trends, brand storytelling best practices, and new tools including AI and automation
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Film or a related field.
- 4-8 years of directing experience across agency, studio, production company, or in-house teams.
- Deep experience directing both doc-style and performance-driven video
- A strong portfolio that shows range, taste, and results
- Proven ability to lead across all phases of production
- Confidence presenting ideas and treatments to senior leadership
- Skills to work solo or scale up with larger teams
- A storyteller's instinct and a creative's eye
- Proven experience managing daily production logistics-crew hiring, deliverables, and quality control.
- A standout portfolio with major brands showcasing both performance-based and documentary-style content.
- An interest in pushing creative boundaries while staying true to a brand.
- Curiosity around AI, automation, and how creative workflows are evolving
- A team-first mindset, bias for action, and passion for building something bold together
