The Role

The Wormhole Foundation is seeking a Senior Community Manager to play an integral role within our Community Team, supporting a wide range of activities across the department.

What You Will Do

  • Enforce the rules and guidelines across various social platforms.
  • Act as the main point of contact for other Community Managers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Community Lead to resolve user issues.
  • Manage Discord server settings, integrations, and elevate permissions as needed.
  • Plan, host, and moderate community events across our social channels.
  • Assist the Community Lead with ongoing initiatives beyond typical social platform tasks.
  • Foster a welcoming, engaging, and productive atmosphere within the community.
  • Troubleshoot and support Discord bots, integrations, and other technical dependencies.
  • Build rapport and relationships with users through meaningful interactions.

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of experience managing social platforms, with a preference for Discord.
  • 3+ years of experience in public communications.
  • Familiar with industry-standard tools, SaaS platforms, and systems (e.g., Galxe).
  • Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about guidelines and policies for providing responses to inquiries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with async teams.
  • Thrives under pressure and in dynamic environments.
  • Passionate about interacting with and supporting diverse communities.
  • Willingness to work Eastern Standard Time or Central European Standard Time
