About this role:

This is an exciting Senior Client Account Manager opportunity in the Pinterest Japan Enterprise team where you will be tasked to nurture existing and establish new relationships across the CPG beauty/luxury portfolio.


What you’ll do:

  • Deliver sales targets through key account management.
  • Provide your clients with optimisations and recommendations to ensure campaign success using insights and campaign reporting to build your recommendations.
  • Determine short and long range sales revenue plans and track progress closely via account management, optimisations and upsells.
  • Represent Pinterest with a high level of integrity and knowledge, acting as an advisor to your clients and their media agencies.
  • Manage existing and develop new relations with clients and media agencies in person and virtually.
  • Work with some of Japan’s largest Enterprise brands.
  • Strong internal collaboration skills working with your peers support teams such as measurement, creative strategy to deliver against client needs/goals.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years experience in digital, social or media agencies.
  • Understanding of ad platforms such as Pinterest Ads Manager or similar.
  • Experience working closely with brands and agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet/surpass sales targets and generate revenues.
  • Strong analytical/insights abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through.
  • Ability to interact with a broad set of businesses and present both over the phone and in person.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Business English skills.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • As such, this role will need to be in the office or in front of our customers for in-person collaboration, typically 2 days per week, and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance to our Tokyo City based office.

  • Strive to maintain and expand multiple areas of value for our advertiser and agency partners, thereby increasing Pinterest's revenue
  • Use insights and campaign reports to optimize and provide recommendations to advertisers and agency partners for successful campaigns
  • Determine short-term and long-term sales revenue plans and closely track progress through account management, optimization and upselling.
  • Accurately understand the advertiser's business goals, translate them into compelling stories and actionable insights, and make proposals to support the advertiser's success.
  • Maintain and further develop existing relationships with advertisers and media agencies
  • Collaborate with supporting teams such as measurement and creative strategy to meet advertiser needs and goals.
  • Collaborate across multiple teams across the company, including measurement, insights, product marketing, and creative strategy, to advocate for solutions that drive sustained business results for advertisers.
  • Represent Pinterest with a high level of integrity and knowledge and act as an advisor to our advertisers and their agencies.

Eligibility:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing/advertising/digital with search, data and measurement acumen
  • Deep understanding of advertising platforms such as Pinterest Ads Manager and other media, and advertising management experience
  • Experience in working with advertisers and agencies to help maximize advertisers' business
  • High level of teamwork, operational rigor, digital acumen and business excellence ensure success in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Business English Conversation Skills
