Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr Business Analyst/Systems Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Project Delivery team with a heavy focus on the Deltek Costpoint Application. You will engage in various business and technical tasks that span all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
What You'll Be Doing:
- Participates in identifying and evaluating end user requirements by collaborating with business stakeholders; provides data for and assists in developing standard appropriate and cost-effective application solutions
- Develops general specifications for application development solutions by analyzing new and existing system functions as well as documenting the information obtained from the end user
- Develops functional specifications to define detailed system input and output, file content, systems functions, systems controls and performance criteria
- Conducts required research and fact finding, prepares detailed technical specifications from which programs will be written, develops flowcharts, designing prototypes and mockup-designs, and logic diagrams
- Leads the analysis and evaluation of application functionality; provides recommendations to increase utilization of standard application functionality to improve business processes and capabilities
- Understands business needs, develops new reports, and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.
- Provides advice to end users, assists in resolving standard operational issues and supports senior staff in resolving complex issues
- Prepares detailed technical specifications and test plans
- Develops procedures for testing programs and defining how programs interact in multiprogram systems
- Participates in user training
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a business analyst role demonstrating proven expertise translating business requirements into technical requirements for IT-based projects
- Deltek Costpoint Experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- The ability to gather, handle, and decipher complex datasets
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and work across organizational boundaries
- The ability to work effectively within time constraints, changing priorities, and work independently
- Ability to present complex information and concepts to leaders at various levels
- Self-starter with willingness to learn
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with Deltek TESS, Cobra, and CER Applications
- Accounting, Finance, and Project Controls background

Salary Range: $100,900.00 - $176,600.00
