Title: Sr. Administrative Assistant (Contract)

The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks for multiple personnel working independently and as part of an administrative team, with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and programs. The candidate must have experience working in life sciences - pharmaceutical, biotech, med tech or med devices. Experience working in both large and small companies highly preferred. This will be a 3-6 month contract. This job can be remote with a strong preference for the Durham, NC area. #LI-REMOTE
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as consultants, to coordinate a variety of complex meetings
- Arrange detailed domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
- Communicate and handle incoming and outgoing email communications on behalf of the team he/she supports
- Assist colleagues with preparation of presentation materials (i.e. reserve conference room space, partner with IT, order food, and prepare slides)
- Prepare and submit expense reports and supporting documents
- Contribute to the overall administrative team by completing a range of general administrative duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting senior staff on an administrative level or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex executive meetings
- Experience with heavy travel schedules, making travel reservations for the team, both domestically and internationally
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate high degree of confidentiality and professional maturity
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner
- Be collaborative and be comfortable working in a team environment
- Location in Durham, NC area strongly preferred
