Position Overview:

The Sales Director will lead and manage sales and business development efforts within the Quebec region Public Sector. This strategic role focuses on driving growth, fostering long-term customer relationships, and contributing to Compugen’s overall success. Strong leadership and effective communication are essential to delivering solutions that enhance productivity and align with company objectives.

We are seeking a high-performing sales professional to manage existing client relationships while expanding our presence through new customer acquisition. This individual will be responsible for prospecting, articulating value, nurturing long-term partnerships, and closing strategic deals. The Sales Director will play a key role in achieving revenue targets and shaping outstanding customer experiences across the region. The Sales Director will report directly to the VP Sales, Central and East. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with a business plan and sales strategy for the assigned segment that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the public sector Account Executives
  • Ensure over Region forecast is consistently up to date and accurate
  • Leads the overall business plan for our CAG Vendor of records and ensure execution
  • Initiates and coordinates development of action plans for growth
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
  • Conducts regular review with all Account Executives to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight into the improvement of Account Executives’ sales and activity performance
  • Provides timely, accurate, and sensible competitive pricing strategies, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricing strategies, sales, and activity reports
  • Responsible for strategy of proposal presentations and RFP responses
  • Assists Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates must have a solid track record in sales management in IT or a related industry including significant experience (minimum of 7 years) with the sale of technology solutions to large, complex organizations in the regional market.
  • Previous experience working with IT partners in a strategic long-term relationship.
  • A post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Established customer relationships in all Public Sector organizations in Quebec.
  • Ability to manage, inspire, lead and develop a dynamic sales force and provide guidance and mentoring.
  • Polished communicator equipped to build substantive business relationships at senior levels.
  • Ability to foster innovation and push beyond the obvious.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • You must be a strategic thinker who can identify how to present our unique value proposition to the marketplace.
  • Leadership profile to command the respect of staff, partners, customers and the community
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
