Overview

 

Our work and methodology are deeply rooted in research and data, enabling us to advise clients on making better leadership decisions. As a Research and Insights Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in providing analytical capabilities and functional expertise to support original research, business development, and knowledge creation. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, creativity, and strong communication skills to deliver actionable insights and support client-facing and internal initiatives.

This person will be an integral part of the Go-to-Market team, bringing a curious, scrappy, and innovative mentality. They will be organized, collaborative, and focused on creating ways for us to share knowledge and insights internally and externally. The role reports to the Director of Strategic Initiatives.

What You’ll Do

    • Intellectual Property: Original Research, Tools, and Analytics:
    • Analyze large datasets, combining numerical and free-text data with psychological research, to identify actionable insights that inform proprietary methodologies and new research
    • Collaborate with the Product team to enhance ghSMART’s online survey platform, helping with design, reporting, and insight generation
    • Contribute to thought leadership development, including articles, indices, and tools that expand ghSMART’s intellectual property
    • Business Development:
    • Create bespoke insights and materials for business development proposals
    • Conduct simple Salesforce reporting and analyses, including pivot tables and analytics, to track win/loss ratios and provide operational rigor around other key metrics
    • Leverage third-party data platforms to monitor market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and generate insights to support go-to-market strategy
    • Practice Area and Knowledge Management:
    • Own the Knowledge Hub (our internal site), including architecture, design, upkeep, ensuring the latest and greatest resources are accessible across the firm
    • Create and distribute the internal firm newsletter, communicating updates and best practices
    • Build and refine slides and materials to enhance practice areas, solutions, and knowledge-sharing efforts

Required Skills and Experiences

    • We are seeking someone who is intellectually curious, analytical, and passionate about leadership and organizational development. The ideal candidate will have:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, data analytics, psychology, or a related field is a plus
    • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of consulting experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm with exposure to talent and HR topics, OR 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a similar focus area with demonstrated responsibility for delivering output and impact
    • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with experience analyzing large datasets and creating actionable insights
    • Familiarity with survey tools, analytics platforms, and Salesforce
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, impactful reports and presentations
    • Experience with SharePoint or similar knowledge management platforms
    • Ability to work collaboratively in virtual environments, demonstrating agility and adaptability to diverse challenges and teams
    • Passion for and curiosity about enabling business success through people insights

Compensation

Certain US jurisdictions require ghSMART to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. We are built on a culture of freedom and flexibility, we operate fully remotely, and our team members balance deeply energizing, high intensity work, with flexible schedules to support life outside of work. Our compensation model reflects these values. Compensation for this role in the United States includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution, and a comprehensive benefits package. You should reasonably expect a base salary of $100,000 - $107,000. In addition, we offer an annual discretionary performance bonus.
