The Quality Data Abstraction Specialist (QDAS) uses clinical knowledge to abstract clinical data from various forms of medical records through intensive record review. The QDAS is accountable to review the data to assure accuracy prior to submission to regulatory and data registries.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Ensure a high degree of accuracy for information entered into data submission tools.

  • Identify opportunities to assist providers and staff with documentation, workflow, and process improvements to ensure highest clinical quality outcomes and scores.

  • Aggregate summary data, tracks statistics, conduct analysis and complete standard reports, as requested by Leadership and Performance Improvement teams.

  • Collaborate with leadership and or Data Team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of abstracted information to regulatory entities and registries.

  • Review and collect clinical data from the medical record to support applicable quality measures.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Preferred

  • 5 Years Clinical Experience - Required

  • Experience with abstraction of data from cardiac registries - Preferred

  • Experience in Cardiac Care - Preferred

  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
