Job Description:
Worth AI is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our innovative team. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining our commitment to excellence as we develop advanced AI solutions that empower businesses to make equitable decisions.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our software meets the highest standards of reliability and performance. Your insights and expertise will help us enhance our products, contributing to a more inclusive and diverse business environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases-both manual and automated-to validate feature functionality and system reliability.
- Design and implement end-to-end UI and API integration tests using our proprietary testing framework, ensuring seamless interoperability across the front-end and back-end layers.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites, leveraging tools and frameworks to catch regressions and accelerate release cycles.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to dissect requirements, review designs, and ensure testability from the earliest stages.
- Triage, document, and track all defects-providing clear reproduction steps, impact assessments, and suggested remediation strategies.
- Present concise test reports and risk analyses to stakeholders, highlighting critical issues and recommending prioritization.
- Engage actively in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives) to champion quality every step of the way.
- Conduct thorough regression and integration testing after each code change to verify fixes and prevent unintended side effects.
- Keep QA deliverables-test plans, cases, scripts, and results-organized, versioned, and easily accessible for audits and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously research and adopt emerging QA best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance our testing capabilities and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in QA/Data analytics, with 3+ years in a dedicated QA role.
- Testing Methodologies & Processes: Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum. Able to define test strategy, design test plans/cases, and track coverage/metrics.
- Automated Testing: Proficient with Playwright, Jest, Supertest, Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG. Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Scripting & Programming: Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and Bash scripting; Python or other scripting language a plus.
- API & Backend Testing: Solid experience with RESTful/gRPC API testing, including service virtualization/mocking. Expert in PostgreSQL and SQL testing (complex queries for data integrity).
- Performance Testing: Hands-on with JMeter, Gatling, or Locust for benchmarking and stress analysis.
- Cloud & DevOps: Working knowledge of AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) and Azure (App Services, DevOps pipelines). Comfortable validating IaC (Terraform/ARM/Bicep) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- CI/CD & DevOps Practices: Familiar with building, deploying, and automating test runs in modern pipelines; troubleshooting flaky tests and pipeline failures.
- Test Management & Defect Tracking: Skilled with JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication. Collaborative mindset.
- Preferred: Prior experience in AI, FinTech, or Payments. Familiarity with security testing basics (OWASP Top 10). Mentoring or leadership experience.
