Job Description:

This Role Is Eligible To Be Hybrid And Requires Onsite Reporting Located Within New Bern, NC

The Recruitment Range For This Position Is $50,633- $52,100

This position provides leadership and oversight for the implementation of quality assurance and quality improvement (QA/QI) efforts at the New Bern Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA), a regional agency within the North Carolina Infant Toddler Program (ITP). The QA/QI Coordinator supports compliance with federal and state requirements, ensuring that services for infants, toddlers, and families meet established standards. The role involves planning and evaluating QA/QI systems, analyzing performance data, and developing local procedures in coordination with statewide goals.

The position contributes to the effectiveness and accountability of the CDSA by coordinating internal policy development, monitoring service provision, supporting staff training, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives. As a member of the CDSA Management Team, this role helps shape strategic direction and strengthens administrative and service delivery practices to benefit children with or at risk for developmental delays.

Key Duties Include:

  • Leading QA/QI planning and implementation to support compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinating the development and monitoring of CDSA policies and procedures related to quality.

  • Designing data collection tools and analyzing quality data to inform process improvements.

  • Leading the local QA/QI Committee and preparing summary reports and action plans.

  • Serving as liaison with private and public ITP providers for quality monitoring and technical assistance.

  • Conducting evaluations to assess service quality and support development of quality improvement plans.

  • Advising management on change implementation strategies and best practices.

  • Developing and delivering training to CDSA staff and ITP providers.

  • Monitoring documentation and data management systems to ensure accuracy and security.

  • Participating in CDSA leadership team activities, including long-term planning and policy development.

Bachelor's degree in public service administration, psychology, sociology, or social work or a human service programmatic field, from an appropriately accredited institution

OR

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution, and two years of administrative or consultative experience in a human service program

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience

Evaluator

Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, or social work or a human service programmatic field, from an appropriately accredited institution

OR

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of program evaluation or consultative experience in human service programs

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience
