Are you an accounting professional who enjoys being at the center of projects and financial activity? Our client, a reputable and growing company based in Carmel, IN, is looking for a Project Accountant to join their team!

This is a hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 remote) offering excellent benefits, a collaborative work environment, and long-term growth potential.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage all project-related accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reporting

• Collaborate with project managers and department leads to ensure accurate billing and project financials

• Review and process contracts, change orders, and client invoices

• Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs and provide insights to leadership

• Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations

• Support month-end close and reconciliation processes related to project accounting

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction, engineering, or professional services

• Strong understanding of GAAP and project accounting principles

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Experience with project-based accounting software is a plus (e.g., Deltek, Sage, Viewpoint)
