Qualifications you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting
  • Hybrid, 8 days/week Schenectady N.Y.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with a high level of accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating journal entries via interpreting business data and translating to accounting ledger dimensions
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support decision-making processes.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with accounting team to provide innovative approaches for continued improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.
