Privacy Professional

Privacy Professional (Remote)

Full time, Netherlands, India

BCD Travel is seeking a qualified privacy professional to join our Privacy Team, providing service-oriented, business-minded support on global data privacy matters. 

As a Privacy Professional, you will

  • Advise internal colleagues on data privacy compliance with relevant global laws and regulations
  • Review, draft, and negotiate privacy-related terms in agreements (e.g., client agreements, vendor data processing agreements, transfer agreements, standard contractual clauses)
  • Initiate, review, and complete privacy assessments and respond to privacy-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, trends, and best practices related to data protection and communicate internally, proposing risk mitigation strategies
  • Update and maintain privacy policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Advise on privacy issues related to new products and services
  • Assist with privacy audits and other privacy tasks
  • Collaborate with legal, privacy, and other teams on assessments and questions related to privacy

About you

  • Qualified lawyer or privacy professional with several years of experience in data protection and privacy matters; legal experience preferred
  • Relevant privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) or equivalent is a plus
  • Ability to translate legal data protection obligations into practical business solutions
  • Customer-service oriented approach with strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and skilled in drafting clear, concise documents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluent in English
  • Ability to interact directly with colleagues at all levels, providing pragmatic risk assessments and creative solutions
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collegial environment
  • Experience with OneTrust or similar privacy management tools required
  • Experience in the travel industry preferred, but not required
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to travel if necessary
