About the Role

People Specialist

At Igalia, we are excited to welcome a new member to our People team in our multicultural, geographically distributed company, with a fully remote work environment.

The new team member will collaborate with the rest of the People team on various tasks. We are responsible for coordinating and engaging in personnel recruitment and selection, training and development, mentoring, company events organization and team building, company policies to enhance DEI, health and well-being, among other activities.

We believe there are multiple pathways to qualify for this position. However, we particularly value candidates with relevant hands-on experience in these areas, as well as a solid theoretical foundation. Ideal candidates will come from backgrounds in Work and Organizational Psychology, Occupational Psychology, or those who have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Human Resources Management.

Since Igalia is a highly specialized consulting company at the forefront of Open Source Software, we believe that a background in software development and familiarity with Open Source communities can help thrive in this environment. Additionally, having worked or collaborated in flat organizational structures and in multicultural environments will facilitate adaptation to the role and make integration into our team smoother.
