THE TEAM
The HR Business Operations Team works closely with the non-Tech Lines of Business (LOB) across TM Global major markets including Canada, USA, UK and Ireland.
Our team drives strategic alignment on HR practices to achieve business objectives while upholding Ticketmaster’s core values across the Fan Support; Support & Operations; Corporate functions; Portfolio Companies as well as the North American Regional Sales teams.
THE JOB
We have an exciting new Payroll Analyst role that focuses on the administration of payroll across our Ticketmaster employees in Canada.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, this individual will partner with the central payroll team at Live Nation by operating in a consultant capacity to assist with identifying gaps, implementing process improvements, and ensuring accurate processing of Canadian payroll.
In addition, this role will help to drive efficiencies, as well as develop, implement, and update related policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Furthermore, this role is intended to be the primary lead on the HR Shared Services team that will run point on all aspects related to payroll solutions for Canada and other markets or countries as applicable, long-term.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Troubleshoot issues and errors with HR and people managers as needed to ensure timely resolution in partnership with Live Nation Payroll Team.

Collaborate across different teams to identify, streamline and implement various payroll improvement processes.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy of information, and reconciliation of data across systems.

Partner with regional HR to process special pay runs such as bonuses, program reimbursements, milestone awards, incentive/commissions, and so on.

Management of all hourly timekeeping data, while calculating overtime, statutory holiday pay, retro pay, and provide the data to Live Nation Payroll Team for input and processing.

Ensure accuracy of employee wages every pay period through reconciliation of approved submission entries and output.

Assist with proper RRSP deductions related to special payments, where applicable.

Ensure the consolidation and delivery of data needed by third parties every pay period.

In partnership with the Live Nation Payroll Team, help to process and validate the accuracy of payroll entries across all Canadian Ticketmaster employees through the review of pay registers.

Ensure applicable employee payroll deductions are properly calculated and deducted, including payroll tax calculations.

Validate employees are paid in accordance with all federal and provincial regulations that apply.

Perform payroll audits on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis, and inform the Live Nation Payroll Team for corrections where needed.

Provide global support in other markets where payroll support is needed (e.g., USA), with a focus on delivering solutions, such as time and attendance implementations, or process improvements/systems enhancements

Provide QA support to any systems changes or upgrades.

Ability to own and complete complex and sensitive projects as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
-
3+ years minimum of experience supporting, administrating, and/or consulting on Canadian payroll.

Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices; and relevant legislation (e.g., income tax; employment standards, etc.) is required.

Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation, or similar and/or designation in progress.

Membership with the National Payroll Institute (formerly the Canadian Payroll Association).

Strong knowledge of absence laws and regulations in Canada.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel (e.g., with VLOOKUP and pivot table skills).

Experience working with/in using ADP WorkforceNow.

Familiarity and understanding in processing USA payroll and other markets outside of Canada.
