Become a key player in a dynamic legal environment, impacting significant legal matters and business transactions for a Fortune 500 company, partnering with Aquent. As a Legal Professional, you will leverage your expertise to negotiate non-suit matters, manage cases from inception to resolution, and contribute to trial preparation and commercial transactions. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone your legal skills within a fast-paced corporate setting.
As a Legal Professional you will:

• Negotiate not-in-suit legal matters, showcasing your expertise and influencing positive outcomes.
• Efficiently process claims through a dedicated CRM system (training provided), ensuring accurate and timely case management.
• Oversee a diverse caseload from initial acknowledgment to final resolution, demonstrating your organizational and legal acumen.
• Apply your legal knowledge and research skills to complex cases, contributing to informed decision-making.
• Evaluate intricate case histories and data to develop recommendations and negotiate effective resolutions.
• Assist in significant legal matters, including trial preparation and business/commercial transactions, gaining invaluable experience in diverse legal areas.
• Draft critical legal documents, showcasing your writing and analytical abilities.
• Contribute to document collection, review, and production, ensuring compliance and supporting legal proceedings.
• Conduct thorough searches of corporate databases for relevant information, supporting effective case management.
• Maintain meticulous case documentation, tracking progress and critical steps within the CRM system.
• Interact with corporate and outside counsel, fostering strong professional relationships.
• Provide essential support to legal staff and department leadership, contributing to the team’s overall success.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2+ years of legal experience
• Proven negotiation experience
• Proficiency in MS Suite, particularly Excel
• Strong understanding of legal procedures and substantive areas of law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Finance experience
• Corporate/large company experience
• Familiarity with legal technology systems (e.g., Case/Matter Management, Document Management)

This is a hybrid role with one day onsite in Detroit, MI. All candidates must be local and elgible to work in the US without a sponsorship.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $23-25/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
