We are hiring an Operations Manager to support our growing organization to oversee grants and contracts, stakeholder engagement, systems, events and scheduling.
The ideal candidate must have stellar organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. We're eager to find an Operations Manager who connects and communicates easily with people with a service-oriented mindset.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and implement a system for tracking the full grant management lifecycle, from prospect research to application development, donation acknowledgements, deadline management, and impact (narrative and financial) reporting
- Manage stakeholder relationship systems and draft communications to stakeholders, including donors, prospects, allies, and staff
- Develop and curate an organized comprehensive library of grant proposals and marketing collateral to maximize fundraising efficiency
- Manage all service contracts, vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with operational requirements
- Act as the organizational liaison with business insurance providers, ensuring comprehensive coverage and risk management
- Plan and coordinate travel, team-building activities and retreats, employee appreciation events, and educational/training sessions across the organization
- Review HR policies and draft and implement changes as related to the above
- Access and utilize sensitive data such as personnel records, budgetary information and other financial documentation, and other proprietary information
- Provide administrative and operational support to the COO, including scheduling, email maintenance, process analysis, and implementation of efficiency solutions
- Juggle multiple projects at once while meeting expected deadlines
- Ability to work in a nimble, fast paced environment

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in nonprofit operations, development, or program management, including exposure to corporate environments and executive decision-making
- Proven success in grant writing, donor relations, and fundraising initiatives
- Experience in developing operational systems, workflows, and managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives and manage sensitive information in compliance with regulations
- Ability to analyze systems and implement efficiency improvements
- Proficiency in professional writing, copy editing, and proofreading
- Experience with donor management systems or CRM platforms
- Track record of building cross-functional relationships to achieve organizational objectives
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and translate them into actionable workflows
- Passion for economic justice
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Background in program evaluation or performance measurement
