Description

Position Objective: 

To assist the Development Department in the creation and implementation of online PETA fundraising initiatives

 

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA:

     o Assist with the development and execution of PETA’s online programs to cultivate members and solicit donations from current and prospective donors

     o Assist with managing the project schedule, incorporating breaking fundraising opportunities

     o Organize and produce projects for targeted online PETA fundraising campaigns

     o Work extensively with PETA’s fundraising platforms including:

          - Working with Development Department staff to maintain PETA donor and non-donor data within the fundraising platform

          - Assist with the management of profiles, inclusion and exclusion groups used for development e-mail efforts and reporting needs

          - Setting up and launching scheduled online development efforts

          - Maintaining PETA donation pages and creating new landing pages, as needed

          - Update and maintain various PETA webpages and other Development related website components

     o Work with Development Department staff and PETA’s online agency partner to:

          - Strive to improve web and email fundraising for PETA through research and testing

          - Track results of PETA's e-mail and online fundraising campaigns, and coordinate the execution of recommendations based on analysis

     o Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• Intermediate knowledge of effective fundraising tactics and strategies

• Intermediate knowledge of data analytics in a fundraising setting

• Intermediate knowledge of effective fundraising graphic design and Web development 

• Experience with graphic software, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator

• Basic knowledge of Web standards, such as CSS

• Basic knowledge of WordPress

• A minimum of one year of experience working with fundraising design and online implementation for a comprehensive online fundraising program

• Demonstrated ability to edit HTML 

• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills

• Proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment

• Commitment to the objectives and mission of the organization

 

The hourly pay range for this position is $16.89 - $22.49 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
