Job Description

The Multi-Media Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization’s digital and print assets, social media platforms, and organizational brand and production standards. This role involves leading and managing the creation of content for various media channels, ensuring that it aligns with brand standards and stakeholder expectations and is designed to maximize effectiveness. This role collaborates with various teams to develop and execute content strategies that promote interest and engagement, enhance user experience, engagement, and overall digital presence. The goal is to drive enterprise interest and adoption of a major implementation.

Responsibilities 

  • Design and maintain a wide range of digital content, including graphics, briefings, newsletters, flyers, posters, fact sheets, websites, social media, news and announcements, trifolds, branding materials, web pages, and other online media to support the client communication strategy, ensuring published content is optimized for user experience  
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and design for effective medium of digital assets and assist with development of digital assets optimized for web consumption across platforms (e.g., social media channels, intranet, public website, etc.) 
  • Lead ideation and iterative design sessions, applying best practices and strategic analysis, including color, typography, and imagery 
  • Design, update, and manage content on the client internal website, ensuring it reflects current program developments and is aligned with branding 
  • Regularly review and edit website content for accuracy, grammar, and style consistency, ensuring it aligns with the organization's messaging and branding guidelines 
  • Create or coordinate the production of multimedia content, including images, infographics, graphics, and videos to complement written content 
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content using metrics such as engagement, reach, and conversions, adjusting strategies for improved effectiveness based on data 
  • Use insights from performance analysis to refine and improve the effectiveness of online content, ensuring it meets stakeholder engagement goals 
  • Share best practices, insights, and content guidelines across the organization to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality content production 
  • Collaborate with the Senior Communication Specialist and client to support the graphic design needs for events, presentations, and other communication engagements 
  • Work with customers and stakeholders to conceptualize and deliver design projects on time, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements 
  • Maintain an ongoing collaboration with the client to incorporate current graphics and branding into new designs 
  • Ensure that all design artifacts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards 
  • Applies design theory, composition, and storytelling to create videos, digital and print assets, and other assets

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in web design, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in web design, graphic design, digital media, or related fields
• Strong understanding of web and graphic design principles including color theory, composition, typography, and digital design, user experience (UX)
• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms
• Proficiency in web design tools/software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma)
• Eligible for or possesses active/interim Secret Clearance
• Proficiency in production management and digital design tools/software (e.g., Adobe, Canva)

Preferred

  • Certification in Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or related fields is a plus. 
  • Previous federal consulting experience preferred
