With more than 100 billion items connected to date, and multiple Fortune 500 enterprises around the world using our platform, we solve for a better understanding of our world. If it’s a thing, we’re working to connect it. Join Impinj and help us realize our vision of a boundless IoT— connecting trillions of everyday items to the Internet.

Team Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Product and Business Development leader to lead growth in the mobile ecosystem by driving adoption of Impinj’s RAIN RFID platform. This role blends product leadership, technical depth, and ecosystem engagement to integrate RFID into smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other connected devices.

You bring a visionary product mindset, a scrappy startup-style execution approach, and a deep network within the mobile ecosystem. Your ability to translate complex technical value into strategic growth will unlock new use cases, partnerships, and market segments.

What You Will Do:

  • Product & Market Strategy: Define business and product roadmaps that align with trends in mobile computing, edge intelligence, and enterprise and consumer technology ecosystems. Identify whitespace and guide go-to-market strategies
  • Mobile Ecosystem Partnerships: Build and grow relationships with OEMs, ODMs, chipset vendors, and platform providers. Influence mobile device roadmaps through joint development and technical collaboration
  • Solution & Segment Development: Lead cross-functional teams to create segment-specific offerings that address key adoption challenges
  • Deal Structuring & Execution: Drive the full lifecycle of complex commercial and technical partnerships—sourcing, negotiating, and closing
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Sales to align internal plans with partner objectives. Define KPIs to track success

What You Will Bring:

  • 12+ years in product management, business development, strategic partnerships, or product leadership in wireless, mobile, RF, or edge technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Demonstrated success building product strategies and executing strategic partnerships within the mobile ecosystem, especially with OEMs and platform vendors
  • Proven experience driving initiatives from concept to execution in fast-moving or ambiguous environments
  • Ability to translate technical solutions into business value and influence C-level stakeholders
  • Understanding of UHF RFID, mobile SoCs, modems, antennas, and wireless chipsets (e.g., Bluetooth, UWB)
  • Familiarity with Android and iOS platforms, their technology stacks, and their influence on device strategy
  • Experience working with mobile ecosystem players globally—e.g., Apple, Samsung, Google, MediaTek, or Qualcomm
