Location: REMOTE

Duration: 6 month contract

Pay rate $23/hour

 Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit and/or re-submit claims to insurance payers, Medicare, Medicare Managed Care, Medicaid, Medicaid Managed Care, and other third-party payers

• Research claim rejections and make corrections, take corrective actions, and refer claims to the appropriate people or departments to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution

• Root cause identification and tracking of claim rejection trends by payer, service area, and or services billed.

• Collaborate with both internal and external departments to verify and validate billing information and coding changes

• Effectively and accurately document your claim research, resolution activity, and next steps

• Always Maintain Compliance and HIPAA standards

• Meet or exceed daily production standards by maintaining work list according to metrics

• Meet or exceed daily quality standards

• Perform other duties and functions as assigned

• Evaluate and respond to all emails request for billing to resolve in a timely matter

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED

• 3+ year of experience in healthcare accounts receivable billing

• 3+ year of experience working with multiple payors, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance providers

• 3+ year of experience in billing, specifically within a hospital/facility setting (outpatient & in-patient)

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook) - ability to create, edit, save and send documents, spreadsheet and correspondence

• Ability to work an eight-hour shift between 07:00AM - 04:30PM EST, Monday - Friday

• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Healthcare/Medical/Pharmacy terminology

• EPIC HB experience

Soft Skills:

• Ability to navigate on internet for research purposes

• Demonstrated problem solving, organization and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay Details: $23.00 per hour
