The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description
The Marketing Associate, B2B SaaS Enterprise, is responsible for supporting content development, campaign execution, and lead generation efforts to engage enterprise decision-makers. This role involves creating and managing marketing materials such as blog posts, case studies, and white papers, as well as optimizing multi-channel campaigns across email, social media, and digital advertising. The associate will conduct market research and competitive analysis to refine messaging strategies, assist in sales enablement by developing collateral for the sales team, and support event planning for webinars and industry conferences. Additionally, they will track marketing performance metrics, providing insights to enhance campaign effectiveness and audience engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Content Development and Management: Support the creation and management of marketing content such as blog posts, white papers, case studies, and infographics tailored to enterprise audiences, focusing on thought leadership and product value.
- Campaign Execution and Optimization: Assist in executing multi-channel campaigns across email, social media, and paid advertising, optimizing them based on performance data to reach enterprise decision-makers effectively.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct research to understand the enterprise SaaS market, identify target customer segments, and analyze competitor activities, translating insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Lead Generation and Nurturing: Collaborate on initiatives to attract and nurture leads through top-of-funnel and mid-funnel campaigns, aligning messaging with key enterprise buyer personas and pain points.
- Sales Enablement Support: Work closely with the sales team to produce collateral like pitch decks, one-pagers, and product sheets that highlight the unique value propositions for enterprise customers.
- Event Support and Coordination: Assist with the planning and execution of webinars, conferences, and industry events aimed at building brand awareness and establishing credibility among enterprise prospects.
- Reporting and Data Analysis: Monitor marketing performance metrics, generating reports and insights that guide campaign adjustments and strategic decision-making.
- Content Distribution and Channel Management: Assist in managing and distributing content across digital channels, optimizing each piece for SEO and tracking engagement to refine distribution strategies.

Qualifications
Marketing Knowledge and Skills
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and familiarity with digital marketing tactics.
- Basic knowledge of content marketing, SEO, and lead generation best practices.
Social Media and Digital Advertising
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Google Ads, or other digital ad platforms for enterprise audience targeting.
Copywriting for B2B and Technical Products
- Ability to create engaging, technical copy that resonates with enterprise-level buyers.
- Graphic Design and Content Creation Skills, including familiarity in design software like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva, for creating marketing collateral.
Strong Communication and Writing Skills
- Proficiency in writing and editing, especially for creating marketing content like blog posts, case studies, and email copy tailored to an enterprise audience.
- Ability to simplify complex ideas and convey technical information effectively.
Analytical and Data-Driven Mindset
- Basic knowledge of data analysis, with the ability to interpret campaign metrics and identify trends.
- Experience with tools like Google Analytics, CRM platforms, or marketing automation software (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).
Organizational and Project Management Skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Experience with project management or collaboration tools like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in performance / growth marketing of SaaS products to B2B, or ideally B2B2C, customers
Experience in Lieu of Education
Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in startup environment or launching new product in a larger company
- Experience marketing edtech or future of work technology products
- Experience marketing corporate LMS, employee upskilling / L&D products
- Experience marketing data analytics, or reporting & compliance products
- Advanced Data and Analytics Skills
- Familiarity with advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or ability to analyze data using spreadsheets or SQL.
- Knowledge of Marketing Automation and CRM Tools
- Hands-on experience with platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Marketo for campaign management, lead nurturing, and reporting.
- Understanding of the Buyer’s Journey for Enterprise Sales
- Insight into the enterprise buyer’s journey and knowledge of ABM (Account-Based Marketing) tactics.
- Event Planning Experience
- Experience supporting events, whether virtual or in-person, is valuable for coordinating industry conferences and webinars.
Work Location
Work location is determined by role and business needs. In addition to our headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT, we have several satellite locations across the US. Senior leadership, administrative functions, and technology teams are typically assigned to work in one of our office locations. While this position will begin with a Remote/Work-From-Home designation, this position will work "In-Office" once a dedicated space in Nashville, TN is established.
