Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the Student Affairs - Marketing department. The Marketing Assistant will support and implement communications and marketing efforts for the Department of Residence Life and the Offices of the Dean of Students. This role will assist the Associate Director in executing campaigns, managing content, and ensuring brand consistency across various channels.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Provides administrative assistance in the coordination of marketing materials and communications projects.
  • Assists Associate Director in providing logistical support for ongoing campaigns, such as RA Recruitment and holiday communications.
  • Helps track incoming project requests and deploy completed marketing assets to the appropriate channels.
  • Assists in gathering content and preparing project briefs for marketing requests.
  • Helps review flyers, posters, and social posts for basic grammar and branding elements.
  • Coordinates with creative team members by sharing drafts and organizing feedback.
  • Supports social media accounts by uploading content, images, and event updates.
  • Monitors marketing office email inboxes related to marketing needs and respond or forward inquiries as appropriate.

FLSA Nonexempt Salary Details $20 - $25/hourly

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency with social media platforms.
  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks while meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with video editing, photography, and videography.
  • High attention to detail.
