The Manager, Process Control Engineer provides leadership and technical support to the automation engineering team. This position supports manufacturing and coordination of (specialized) process technology tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a portfolio of contracts and negotiate service level agreements. Will also plan, coordinate and supervise activities relating to major contracts.

  • Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization's change management program. Involves working with guidance from senior colleagues.

  • Manage the knowledge management system with guidance from senior colleagues. May involve responsibility for the development or operation of the system.

  • Develop procedures and interprets and applies policy for area of expertise to achieve specified outputs, or advise the wider business on application of policy, then monitor implementation of those procedures within the organization.

  • Analyze and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex products and services - and develop and amend as necessary with guidance from senior colleagues. May also be responsible for supervising activities performed by a product development or specialist team.

  • Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Automation/Cyber Security or relevant field

    Experience:

  • 5+ years general and job-related experience to a fully competent level.

  • Basic experience in coordinating the work of others.

  • Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to others in various areas, including negotiation, planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing activities to meet business objectives.

  • Strategic Implementation: Apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment to develop solutions, interpret policies and procedures, and ensure alignment with organizational strategies.

  • Risk and Compliance Management: Identify, assess, prioritize, and manage risks in production processes, ensuring full compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

  • Project and Financial Management: Manage projects and programs within desired cost, time, and quality parameters, and handle costing, budgeting, and finance tasks.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data trends for decision-making and create effective reports.

  • Communication and Consensus Building: Use clear communication to express ideas, request actions, and obtain consensus between parties with different interests.

  • Technology and Tools: Utilize standard office equipment and software packages to support business processes.

  • Safety Management: Manage and apply safe systems of work.
