Job Description
This is a key role with responsibility for producing accurate and timely management accounts, ensuring strong financial control, and supporting effective decision-making through insightful analysis. While the role will primarily focus on IUPR, the successful candidate will also contribute to wider finance initiatives across the enterprise, helping to drive consistency in financial practices and standards group-wide.
You will play a central role in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance financial transparency. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate policies, you will provide clear, actionable insights that influence strategic priorities and operational efficiency.
Acting as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, you will collaborate closely with central finance, audit, tax, and legal teams to support integrated financial management and maintain strong governance across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Management Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and supporting schedules, ensuring integrity and completeness of financial information.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts across revenue, expenses, headcount, and CAPEX, providing variance analysis and insightful commentary.
- Revenue & Cost Analysis: Ensure accurate revenue recognition, monitor key cost drivers, and perform variance analysis to highlight financial trends and opportunities.
- Expense Management: Analyse expenditure regularly, identifying risks, opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
- Accounts Receivable: Conduct AR and bad debt reviews, and lead AR and debt collection processes.
- Process Efficiency & Standardisation: Drive standardisation and efficiency across finance operations and business units.
- General Ledger & Journal Entries: Prepare, reconcile, and review general ledger (GL), balance sheets, and journal entries on a monthly basis.
- Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and SOX controls.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with business teams and group finance to provide financial insight, ensure consistency in reporting, and contribute to business-as-usual (BAU) finance activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion ongoing enhancements to finance processes, systems, and controls.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support management decision-making.
- Additional Duties: Perform any other duties commensurate with the level and scope of the role.
- Process & Systems Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvements in financial systems, processes, and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years post-qualification experience
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar role
- Hands on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle Fusion)
- Solid understanding of management accounting principles and performance and variance analysis
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and insightful management information for stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively across finance and non-finance teams, acting as a trusted business partner
- Solid working knowledge of the core MS Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
