What you'll be responsible for:

The Lead, Registration Specialist is responsible for meeting the performance standards and demonstrate knowledge of the team's core processes and functions while supporting a team of associates. They also partner and effectively communication with insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and management.

What you'll work on:

  • Perform comprehensive patient registration, including obtaining accurate demographic and insurance information from multiple Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and entering this info into Access TeleCare's billing system
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage benefits using payer portals, phone calls, and real-time eligibility tools
  • Identify and resolve issues related to insurance eligibility, including coordination of benefits and out-of-network policies
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory guidelines regarding patient data and insurance handling
  • Support Specialists by answering questions and providing hands on training
  • Escalate production roadblocks and provide potential solutions to Manager
  • Promptly respond to the team questions and provide hands on training when needed
  • Meet with Manager weekly to escalate any workflow issues and feedback identified by team meeting with auditing and coding team regarding performance, goals, and professional development
  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to Access TeleCare:

  • High school diploma requires; Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience as in Registration or related field
  • Experience in various EMRs and charge capture systems (Athena preferred)
  • Solid understanding of Registration, Insurance Coverage, Billing, and EMRs
  • Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong communications skills (written and oral) as well as demonstrate the ability to work effectively across departments
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office programs, communication, and collaboration tools in various operating systems
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and self-manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to thrive in high growth, fast-paced organization and 100% Remote based environment
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Occasional travel for meetings and collaboration
