Job Description
An environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities is looking to bring on a Structural CAD Designer. As part of the Structural CAD team, you will work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world. This person will be responsible for a variety of project elements, including drafting, design, checking, and both 2D and 3D drawings. To integrate into the team efficiently, this person will need a basic understanding of Revit, including beginner skills that are ready to deploy. This person will need an understanding of BIM as it relates to structural design of industrial projects. Experience or desire to learn about heavy concrete, rebar, structural steel, etc. is desired. This role will be a 6 month contract-to-hire model, with the primary goal being a permanent conversion. The location for this position is Dallas, TX, and will require a hybrid schedule working 3-4 days/week in office. This role can pay anywhere between $25-35/hr depending on years of experience, with permanent conversion salary coming in at or above that rate.

Required Skills & Experience
0-5 years of experience in a structural design role
6+ months of experience with 3D modeling in Revit (coursework applies as experience as well)
Knowledge of heavy industrial projects
Strong desire for career growth and continued learning
Ability to work 3-4 days onsite in Dallas office

Experience with concrete/thickened edges
