Job Description:
A Snapshot of Your Day
You bring excellent communication to define, coordinate and implement global projects with cross functional teams for TI Sites in Houston, United States. You combine IT technical knowledge with experience of managing a plant / factory IT setup to partner with global/central teams and define the right IT strategy based on the overall Siemens Energy IT strategy.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Trusted Advisor: Be an effective connector between, business, end users and all functions of IT
- Advocate for the business. Leverages business understanding and proximity to lead, guide and enable good IT decisions that benefit business performance
- Driving business value using IT: you proactively identify and promote the use of IT solutions, with the aim of supporting and optimizing business processes in the best possible way
- Collaborate with site representatives to identify and define the site's IT requirements and to bring them to completion.
- Responsible for all end-to-end IT projects, applications, IT services, and IT infrastructure in the site. Driver for leveraging digitalization potential for modernization of site operations. Implement IT security protection concepts
- Define & develop the site's IT architecture and landscape and implement the associated IT roadmaps - coordinated with the Global site Business partners and aligned with SE IT reference architecture.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent qualification with 5+ years in managing IT projects or Manufacturing plant/sites experience. Will also consider Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in partnering with a business, cross functional teams, analyzing and strategizing requirements from a technical and business perspective as well as taking ownership of IT/OT related topics at site and driving resolution
- Track record of supporting and driving local and global digitalization initiatives. Successfully managed IT and OT Infrastructure implementation (LAN, Switch configuration, Firewall, Testbeds etc.)
- Demand Management, Vendor coordination, Budgeting, managing site CyberSec & InfoSec related issues. Understanding of MES applications will be an added advantage
- Analytical mind and able to identify and process different ideas and opinions independently and summarize them for possible solutions to stakeholders and executives. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

About the Team
We take care of all Digital/OT/IT matters of the product business from Transformation of Industry. Your team is responsible for Digital/OT environment in our factory locations in Houston, which is part of the Compression business. You and will work closely with colleagues from the factory and Digital colleagues worldwide and will always form new teams to create efficient solutions.
