Job Description:
Join a dynamic Human Resources team where your work plays a key role in supporting the county’s hiring and recruitment efforts. As part of the Human Resources team, you’ll help keep the recruitment process running smoothly—from posting job openings and coordinating interviews to preparing offer letters and welcoming new hires. You’ll work closely with applicants, hiring managers, and other HR staff to ensure a positive and professional experience throughout the hiring process.
Performs human resources administrative support work assisting in the operation of human resources programs. The work involves application of technical human resources policies, rules and procedures to such actions as reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, developing reports, coordinating communications, and providing support on employee and retiree benefit matters as needed. The position receives work assignments and supervision from a senior human resources staff member.
Essential Job Functions
Manages seasonal hiring processes.
Develops and maintains statistical reports related to recruitment activities.
Schedules interviews and notifies applicants of outcome.
Reviews interview evaluations to ensure consistent scoring.
Coordinates job posting processes.
Monitors team specific email inbox and initiates work assignments accordingly.
Composes hire letters and distributes correspondence, records and reports.
Initiates recruitments, prepares and processes personnel actions.
Manages Applicant Tracking System data, compiles statistical information and prepares reports.
Ensures position announcements are printed, distributed and posted; monitors job cap.
Maintains applicant spreadsheets; verifies data.
Answers, screens and refers telephone calls; receives and screens visitors.
Floats in other departments as needed.
Processes benefits data, compiles statistical information and prepares reports as needed.
Assists the public, clientele, and others to utilize services by explaining, instructing and advising them regarding their needs and requests and services provided.
Assists with new hire orientations when needed.
Other Duties

Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.)
Training and/or Education:
High school diploma or GED, including or supplemented by courses in office practices.
Experience:
Three years of related office or administrative support experience.
Licenses or Certificates:
None
Special Requirements:
Background investigation required.
Physical Demands:
Regular operation of computer keyboard.
Unusual Demands:
Work is subject to deadlines and frequent interruptions.

Compensation Steps:
Pay rate: $26.54 - $30.40 per hour; $48,303 - $55,328 annually
Grade 719, full-time position, 35 hours per week
