Key Responsibilities

As the first member of our HR team in Spain, you’ll work with our distributed HR team to help drive operational excellence, employee satisfaction, and talent growth across our Spain operations. Your work will focus on both strategic initiatives and hands-on execution.

    • Ensure a best-in-class candidate experience and smooth coordination with hiring managers.

  • People Operations
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes with attention to compliance and cultural integration.
    • Support employee engagement through reiterating company messages and goals, and holding regular check-ins for proactive feedback loops to identify and escalate any potential issues.

  • Payroll & Benefits
    • Assist with monthly payroll processing (there will be a gradual handoff from our Ecuador Admin team).
    • Coordinate and communicate benefits, and ensure enrollment processes are smooth and well-documented.

  • Compliance
    • Manage health and safety compliance (Seguridad y Salud) according to Spanish regulations.
    • Ensure employee documentation and HR processes meet legal and internal standards.

  • Engagement & Culture
    • Plan and coordinate team-building activities, monthly coworking days, and team celebrations and recognition gifts.
    • Keep your finger on the pulse of team morale and help reinforce a positive, inclusive culture.
    • Strategically design and implement new team engagement initiatives aligned with the annual budget, team preferences, and internal administrative and accounting guidelines.

  • Admin & Local Logistics

    • Support vendor relationship management and local administrative processes.

This Role Is Right for You If:

  • Top-tier private health insurance.
  • 23 vacation days, plus additional sick and family leave days.
  • €200/year continuing education budget and regular 1:1s to support your growth.
  • Monthly remote stipend to support your home office.
  • Quarterly in-person team-building events and coworking sessions.
  • Company laptop and onboarding equipment shipped to your door.
  • Work abroad days are subject to company policy and approval.
  • Personalized anniversary gift.
