Head of Dispatch

We are a dynamic and fast-growing private equity group focused on acquiring and scaling best-in-class home services businesses. Our portfolio includes high-performing service providers across multiple markets. We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Head of Dispatch to lead centralized dispatch operations, drive performance, and ensure exceptional customer service delivery across our network of operating companies. 
 

The Head of Dispatch – HVAC & Plumbing will oversee all dispatch operations across multiple business units, managing a team of dispatchers and coordinating with field technicians to ensure optimal scheduling, routing, and service delivery. This individual will build and standardize dispatch processes, implement KPIs, and work closely with leadership to enhance operational efficiency, technician utilization, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-location dispatch team supporting HVAC and plumbing services. 

• Develop and implement standardized dispatch protocols and SOPs across portfolio companies. 

• Monitor daily scheduling and technician routing to maximize productivity and minimize drive time. 

• Utilize dispatch software and field service management tools to drive real-time decision-making. 

• Analyze and report on key metrics including response times, job completion rates, and technician utilization. 

• Coordinate closely with service managers, call centers, and customer service teams to ensure seamless job flow. 

• Implement and maintain performance dashboards for dispatch team accountability. 

• Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Support due diligence and integration efforts for newly acquired companies by assessing and aligning dispatch operations. 

• Train and mentor dispatchers and support staff to elevate service standards and consistency. 
 

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in dispatch management within the HVAC, plumbing, or home services industry. 

• Experience in a multi-location or centralized dispatch environment strongly preferred. 

• Strong understanding of field service operations and technician scheduling best practices. 

• Proven leadership and team management skills. 

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational abilities. 

• Familiarity with service software such as ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, FieldEdge, or similar platforms. 

• Private equity experience or exposure to fast-paced, high-growth environments a plus.
