The Executive Threat Manager, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s global clients, will oversee and manage the full executive protection framework supporting the executive leadership (e.g., CEO, CFO). This role enhances safety, operational readiness, and situational awareness by identifying risks, monitoring sentiment, and providing actionable intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Proactively monitor and assess threats directed at C-suite executives through various channels, including mail, social media, and other mediums.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into identified threats, leveraging expertise in law enforcement and corporate security to determine risk levels and required actions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks and implement preventative measures.
- Oversee the security of mail and packages addressed to executives, ensuring comprehensive screening processes are in place.
- Develop and implement protocols for handling suspicious items in alignment with company policies and best practices.
- Monitor social media platforms for threatening or harmful activity involving executives.
- Work with social media teams, legal counsel, and law enforcement to address and resolve potential risks.
- Lead the response to incidents involving threats to executives, coordinating with law enforcement, corporate security, and other relevant parties.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in crisis response, guiding critical situations.
- Develop, document, and maintain threat management policies and procedures tailored to the unique needs of the C-suite.
- Continuously enhance the threat management program by incorporating emerging risks, trends, and technologies.
- Partner with global security investigations, operations, executive protection teams, legal, human resources, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to executive threat management.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on threat trends, mitigation efforts, and program status.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field and ten years of experience in executive protection, investigations, and threat management, preferably in both law enforcement and corporate security roles.
- CTM certification, is preferred.
- Expertise with mail and package security protocols, investigations, and incident management.
- Familiarity with threat monitoring tools and platforms.
- Clear and concise interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners, including law enforcement.
- Investigative and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Able to carry out responsibilities with little supervision.
- Serve as an effective team leader.
- Able to multi-task and organize workload for effective implementation.
- Effective follow-up skills.
