Senior Project Manager
Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to improving member and provider experiences, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale initiatives and manage multiple, concurrent projects from inception through closeout, with a strong preference for experience delivering projects in regulated environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects align with business strategy, are delivered on time and within budget, and meet defined quality, compliance, and stakeholder expectations.
The Senior Project Manager will partner closely with business leaders, sponsors, and cross-functional teams, applying formal project management methodologies to drive successful outcomes across complex initiatives, including those driven by regulatory or compliance requirements.
Type: Contract-to-Hire (Contract duration 12-Months)
Work Model: 100% Remote (Must reside within OR, WA, ID, or UT)
Pay: $60.00 - 70.00/hr., DOE

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
- Lead large-scale, complex projects and/or multiple concurrent initiatives from planning through delivery.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
- Ensure alignment between project objectives and organizational strategy.
- Proactively manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assemble and lead cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams; assign responsibilities and provide direction.
- Track project performance using defined metrics and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present project plans, status updates, and outcomes to leadership, stakeholders, and client groups.
- Partner with business sponsors and stakeholders to identify needs, evaluate solutions, and implement effective approaches.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise project management standards, methodologies, and governance.
- Mentor and develop project management skills in other project managers.
- Stay current on emerging project management tools, techniques, and methodologies, including Agile practices.
Qualifications of the Senior Project Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience, including leadership of large-scale initiatives.
- Proven success delivering projects on time, within budget, and in scope.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional, high-performance teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Experience with regulatory-driven projects strongly preferred, including work tied to government mandates or other regulated environments such as finance or healthcare
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Proficiency with project management tools and software.
- Familiarity with PMI standards and the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid project management environments is preferred.
- Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent) strongly preferred.
