Job Description:

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX/ Sunnyvale, CA(Hybrid). The ideal candidate will create intuitive, accessible user experiences by converting business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.

Rate Range: $45/hour to 51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Build responsive, user-friendly web applications using semantic HTML and modern CSS, ensuring accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 and ARIA standards.

• Convert business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and design systems, supporting both low- and high-fidelity outputs.

• Conduct usability testing and user research, developing personas and usage scenarios to inform design decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to groom stories, present design concepts, and align on user experience goals.

• Create and maintain sitemaps and component definitions, ensuring consistency and scalability across products.

• Leverage tools like Sketch to design and iterate on user interfaces with strong visual and interaction design skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.

• 6+ years of professional experience in front-end development and UX design.

• Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), ARIA, and the ability to apply them technically.

• Proven ability to create design systems, wireframes, prototypes, and conduct usability testing.

 

Pay Details: $45.00 to $51.00 per hour
