Overview
The Senior Manager, Employee Relations, will play a critical role in developing and maintaining a positive work environment by managing employee relations programs and procedures. This role is responsible for conducting and overseeing investigations, conflict resolution, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in employee relations, excellent judgment, and highly developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The Senior Manager, Employee Relations, is a member of the North America HRBP & Employee Relations team and will partner closely with our Employment Law Counsel, Compliance team, HRBPs, and Global Human Resources COEs. This position will also be partnered with business leadership to foster a positive work environment, promotea culture of excellence, and enhance organizational performance. This role is initially an individual contributor position, with the potential to become a people manager role.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations Strategy:
- Provide strategic Employee Relations support, business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization in alignment with our company culture and values
- Provide expert guidance and support to HR Business Partners, management, and other stakeholders regarding employee relations matters.
- Partner with the legal department to mitigate risks and manage employment-related litigation strategies.
Investigations & Conflict Resolution:
- Conduct and document detailed and thorough investigations into employee complaints, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Lead the resolution of employee conflicts, complaints, and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
- Triage employee relations cases, identify potential solutions to address different case types, and propose actions accordingly
- Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Assist in the drafting of position statements.
Policy Development and Compliance:
- Collaborate with the HR Compliance Team to develop, update, and maintain employee relations policies and procedures.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the company's policies remain current and effective.
Training and Development:
- Design and deliver training programs for managers and employees on employee relations topics, such as conflict resolution, performance management, and company policies.
- Provide coaching and support to managers to enhance their leadership skills and ability to foster a positive work environment and manage employee relations effectively.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze trends in employee relations issues, using data to propose improvements, inform decision-making and policy development
- Prepare and present quarterly reports to HRBPs and senior management on employee relations issues and recommendations for action.
Complete all responsibilities as outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting. Required

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or Human Resources, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience. Professional credentials (such as SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Ability to navigate complex and sensitive employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Capability to maintain confidentiality and establish trust and credibility
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with business goals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on positive work environments.
- Experience in a matrix organization is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Base compensation ranges from $125,000 to $145,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
