Pharmacy Business Financial Analyst - Elliot Hospital

This position will be an onsite role in Manchester NH with the opportunity to be hybrid flexible after training. This position can be 4 days a week and is a total of 32 hours per week salaried.

This role will touch on business operations, finance, reconciliation of claims, accounting, etc. This is NOT an IT role.

About the Job

The Pharmacy Business Financial Analyst provides synergies between pharmacy service lines and Elliot Health System financial teams. Responsible to monitor, provide reports and trending for pharmacy expenses and revenue covering the full scope of pharmacy cost centers including retail, specialty, hospital and 340B program.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with pharmacy leaders and financial teams to closely monitor drug spends and reimbursements. Compare to budgeted amounts.
• Maintain visibility on estimated and actual payments for outpatient infusions with prior authorizations.
• Provide documents to describe data trends and determine impacts with pharmacy leaders.
• Provide budget projections in coordination with pharmacy and finance leaders.
• Facilitate data collection for third party requests in collaboration with finance and IT teams.
• Prepare presentations to convey pharmacy financial information to a wide audience.
• Maintain visibility on pharmacy vendor and third-party payor contracts with pharmacy leadership team.
• Perform claims reconciliation for retail pharmacy transactions.
• Support and provide education for financial teams including accounting and accounts payable.

What You'll Need

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related field required. Five years of health system financial experience with AP/AR and reconciliation of claims. Preferred two years of retail pharmacy or health system pharmacy technician experience.

The inpatient pharmacy department is comprised of pharmacists and technicians working collaboratively to provide safe, timely and effective medication therapy to our patients. We operate a decentralized model for both medication distribution utilizing Omnicell automation, as well as clinically with pharmacists dedicated to the teams on our nursing units.
