The Divisional Leader of Recruiting is responsible for leading the restaurant recruiting function for the assigned division. This role will develop and lead the near and long-term restaurant staffing strategy and deploy new systems and programs. The Divisional Leader of Recruiting will lead a large field-based support team to assess hiring needs, execute near and long-term strategies to ensure all new Restaurants open fully staffed and all existing Restaurants maintain optimal staffing levels.

Divisional Recruitment Team Leadership:

  • Leads a team of field-based Regional Leaders of Recruiting in providing strategic direction for the development and execution of plans for regional staffing efforts
  • Responsible for developing annual recruiting plans for each Business Unit (Restaurant, Area, Market, Region), which will be reviewed on a quarterly basis to measure progress and amend as needed
  • Leads the recruitment team involvement with the Business Unit Team including regular communications to ensure alignment with all other support disciplines
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all Business Unit Team recruiting positions in the division

Partnering with Business Unit Leadership:

  • Cultivates strong relationships with Divisional, Regional and Area business unit teams, soliciting regular feedback on recruitment support efforts
  • Works closely with Restaurant Operations Leadership to provide feedback and help develop effective tools and resources for Restaurant recruiting efforts
  • Serves as the communication lead for divisional staffing updates and to the recruiting team for process or policy changes and new rollouts related to Restaurant staffing

Restaurant Recruitment Strategy & Planning:

  • Develops partnerships that will result in talent pipelines for Restaurant Crew and management roles
  • Works closely with Restaurant growth and development leaders to ensure recruitment team alignment with long term Restaurant growth plans
  • Builds the company employment brand and increases the presence within the communities through partnerships with schools, community-based organizations, vendors, etc
  • Works closely with restaurant and RSO leadership to provide feedback and to help develop effective tools and resources for effective restaurant recruiting efforts for existing and new restaurant openings
  • Manages agency and third-party recruiting relationships for all Restaurant management positions
  • Develops annual Restaurant recruiting projections, monitors recruiting expenditures and approves any major expenses specific to Restaurant Crew and management recruiting efforts

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provides Regional and Divisional recruitment reporting to internal stakeholders on a weekly basis
  • Leads data collection and analysis process for ad hoc recruitment reporting requests for the Division
  • Leverages the recruiting scorecard to ensure the team is meeting or exceeding performance standards
  • Establishes and maintains talent market expertise including comprehensive view of industry trends and competitor best practices

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of recruitment experience; restaurant experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage constantly changing priorities
  • Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively
  • Able to recognize problems, set goals, create plans and convert plans into action to solve problems
  • Strong work ethic and "hands on" approach
  • Exceptional people and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work a varied schedule related to business needs including days, evenings and weekends
  • Proficient with a variety of technology systems and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a leadership role with an ability to coach and develop all levels
  • Experience leading field-based recruiting teams preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working in restaurants preferred
  • Experience working for a multi-unit restaurant, retail or hospitality company preferred
  • Able to travel up to 50% and required to live within Division

Additional Information

The physical work environment for this role includes a combination of working from a home-based office, representing Raising Cane's out in the community, traveling throughout the division, as well as time spent in our Restaurants. This can and will include working in a fast-paced kitchen and interacting with and serving customers. This requires extended periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing and lifting. It also includes working both inside and outside in varied temperatures, with and around food products and common allergens, industrial equipment, commercial cleaning products, and requires use of personal protective equipment and ergonomic activities necessary to complete the job function.
