About the Role
In this opportunity as Director, CoCounsel AI Applications, you will:

Lead the design and development of scalable AI applications that leverage generative models, translating cutting-edge research into real-world legal solutions

Guide your team in rapidly developing new features, productionizing innovations beyond POCs, and iterating based on evaluation results

Architect and oversee the development of new products from concept to production, making critical technical decisions while balancing speed, quality, and scalability

Collaborate with researchers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of Thomson Reuters' Gen AI products
-
Establish best practices for AI-powered software development while ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
About You
You're a fit for the role of Director, CoCounsel AI Applications if your background includes:

10+ years of experience in product engineering, with a focus on AI/ML products and a track record of building high-quality applications in fast-paced environments

Deep expertise in software development (Node.JS or Python preferred) and experience leading engineering teams through the full product lifecycle

Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies, with a strong foundation in scalable cloud platforms
-
Proven ability to recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing technical teams
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
-
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align technical development with organizational goals

Experience in early-stage environments or taking products from initial concept to production (preferred)

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $154,000 - $286,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
