We are looking for a Deputy Head of Content EMEA who will work closely with the Head of Content to shape and execute content strategy, ensuring every piece aligns with business objectives and engages our audience effectively. You will manage competing priorities efficiently, seeing the bigger picture while ensuring the smooth execution of editorial projects.
This content will be distributed via digital platforms, guides, magazines, and email marketing campaigns. The role demands someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is highly organised, and can manage multiple projects while maintaining a sharp editorial eye.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Strategy & Execution
- Play a key role in shaping content strategy, collaborating with senior leadership while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance engagement and drive business growth.
- Ensure all content is high-quality, on-brand, and optimised for performance, working across digital platforms and channels (including email), and print.
- Oversee or execute transcreation of content from end-to-end in local languages as warranted.
- Independently lead the end-to-end planning, commissioning, and editing of short and long-form content, ensuring timeliness and alignment with strategic goals.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all proposition areas, feeding insights into content strategy to enhance engagement and conversion.
- Model leadership in adoption of new AI tools to help ensure production processes remain relevant, up-to-date, and efficient.
- Manage and refresh In-house content, ensuring it remains relevant, high-quality, and aligned with audience needs.
Project Management & Execution
- Lead the planning and execution of content projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Prioritise and manage multiple tasks, balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactively identify challenges and implement solutions, ensuring seamless content delivery.
- Work closely with the eCRM team and other internal stakeholders to create an email marketing calendar and drive traffic to the digital platforms.
- Champion AI-driven solutions to drive efficiencies in content production and explore new ways to manage and scale content creation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of content initiatives.
- Use data and analytics to inform content strategy and measure performance, ensuring content meets engagement and business goals.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide mentorship to junior team members as warranted, instilling Content team values and editorial excellence.
- Set clear goals and ensure high editorial standards across all content outputs.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture, ensuring the team produces engaging, high-quality content.
- Set Ensure consistency in Ten’s tone of voice and story across all written materials.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant content role.
- Fluent in English and German, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to work autonomously and drive content initiatives independently, commissioning, edit, and manage content projects across multiple formats.
- Strong editorial skills with a sharp eye for detail and quality.
- Experience managing multilingual teams across different locations.
- Confident in developing and executing content strategies that drive engagement and business objectives.
- Enthusiasm for exploring and implementing AI-driven content tools and initiatives.
- A data-driven mindset, using analytics to refine content performance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Passion for travel, dining, and entertainment.
Guidelines for Hybrid/Home Office :
- Located in Cape Town
- Please note that you will be asked to enter into a hybrid working arrangement - at least 2x a week in the office.
- A secure home office at your confirmed address, free from background noise or other distractions.
- You must meet our minimum internet speeds if you want to work in our hybrid model and this will be checked during the recruitment process and again when you join. We also have a great office that you can work from as an alternative.
