THE ROLE

 

As an Anaplan Demand Modeler, you'll be an integral part of the Thrive Market team, responsible for driving the statistical forecasting process and driving forecast accuracy improvements through employing proven modeling techniques, data analysis, best practices and partnering with cross-functional teams. We're looking for someone with strong analytical skills, great communication skills, a relentless drive for continuous improvement, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and data-driven environment.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Optimize the statistical forecast modeling process in Anaplan to drive best-in-class forecast accuracy and minimize the need for manual item forecast adjustments.
  • Incorporate member growth and other key demand drivers into the demand model to drive improved forecast accuracy and explainability.
  • Develop tools and processes to improve analytics to better understand the impacts of key demand drivers and to assess and action risks and opportunities within the business.
  • Enhance Anaplan modeling capabilities to streamline product lifecycle management and reduce risk on new and discontinuing items in the portfolio.
  • Develop a Forecast Value Add (FVA) process to delineate the impacts of statistical and business-driven inputs to the demand plan.
  • Assist in developing mechanisms to translate the demand plan into downstream processes including space, labor and inventory planning.
  • Provide deep analytics to support cross-functional processes including S&OP and Weekly Business Reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or a relevant analytical/business experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in a demand modeling and statistical forecasting methods
  • Anaplan modeling experience is strongly preferred
  • Proven continuous improvement mindset to enhance our tools and processes
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment; demonstrates self-direction, motivation, and navigates well through ambiguity
  • Creative and analytical thinker capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, SQL and visualization tools.
