We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Visualization Platform Engineer to manage, maintain, and evolve our enterprise-wide data visualization ecosystem. This role requires a unique combination of deep technical expertise in modern data platforms and visualization tools, alongside strong business acumen and stakeholder communication skills. The ideal candidate will ensure the platform is secure, performant, and scalable while actively engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and drive Data Visualization standards and best practices.

This position is based out of the Piscataway, NJ location. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you'll do

  • Platform Architecture & Automation: Design, implement, configure, and maintain the data visualization (DV) platform infrastructure, including developing automation scripts for deployment and monitoring.
  • Business Translation & Strategy: Serve as the technical liaison, translating complex business reporting and self-service needs into technical specifications and actionable solutions for the platform roadmap.
  • Data Governance & Security: Manage user access, define roles and permissions, implement authentication, and enforce data governance policies across the platform.
  • Adoption & Best Practices: Promote visualization best practices, ensure consistency and clarity in design, and drive the effective adoption of DV tools across the company.
  • Operational Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for complex platform issues, collaborating with vendors to resolve critical outages and bugs.
  • Innovation & Enablement: Stay current with emerging DV technologies, assess and implement new features, and deliver technical training and documentation to enhance platform value.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Business/ IT Systems Management, or a related field.

  • 3+ years focused on major data visualization platforms (e.g., Domo, Sigma, Tableau, or similar) .

  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to integrate data into visualization tools.

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understanding of cloud data services (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).

  • Strong blend of technical and business acumen with excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts and present compelling, data-driven insights that influence strategic decisions.
  • Proven ability in analytical and creative problem-solving, with a consistent focus on detail and developing actionable solutions.
  • Demonstrated track record of independent work, strong accountability, and a sense of urgency in driving tasks to completion.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with professionals from diverse backgrounds and varying technical skill levels.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure the timely completion of tasks and strict adherence to deadlines.


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $74,400.00 - $117,500.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
