Description

The Data Analyst will support research projects involving the integration and analysis of neuroimaging and proteomics data. Responsibilities will include data cleaning, preprocessing, and quality control for large-scale imaging and proteomic datasets; developing and implementing statistical and machine learning models; and preparing summary figures, tables, and reports to support scientific findings. The role requires strong programming skills (e.g., in R or Python), familiarity with imaging and omics data formats, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under time constraints. Attention to detail, clear documentation practices, and collaboration with other team members are also essential. This is a technical position that plays a key role in advancing data-driven research in neurodegenerative disease.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates and maintains a data dictionary and meta data.
  • Supports efforts to ensure that data standards are developed and maintained.
  • Ensures that the uses of data through reports and queries are accurate.
  • Supports business and system re-engineering and architecture development to define future data needs.
  • Serves as an organizational consultant on matters relating to databases by providing expertise to assist users in meeting their needs.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

NOTE: Tasks related to this position can be performed remotely with only occasional visits to an Emory University location.  Eastern (EST) time zone business hours may apply.
