What You'll Do

Avalara is looking for a Customer Experience Analyst to join our team.  Want to kick off an exciting career with a fast-growing cloud technology business in a complicated, exciting, and high-growth area of regulatory compliance?  Your will provide world-class service to our customers.  You will contact merchants in several system boarding statuses to help them board and stay connected to our service. This will report to the Manager, Product Support.

This is a remote opportunity. #LI-remote

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • You will establish and grow professional working relationships and network with daily users

  • You will promote client retention and satisfaction

  • Communicate with customers in written and verbal form and maintain accurate records in HubSpot, our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

  • Educate and empower customers to create more self-serving accounts

  • Escalate problems or difficult sales tax return issues to the Customer Success Team Lead or escalations department

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • Bilingual Spanish; written and spoken

  • Customer-facing experience working with customers managing to successful outcomes

  • Experience inferring insights from customer data

  • Experience making outbound and taking inbound phone calls

  • Experience with retail point-of-sale devices, sales tax regulations, and how these requirements apply to small retail businesses

  • Experience using spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets or similar) and writing basic spreadsheet formulas

  • Bachelor's degree

Pay Range Details

The base pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Colorado $54,100-$84,100 (annually)

Washington $54,100-$92,900 (annually)

California $54,100-101,600 (annually)

NYC $59,900-$101,600 (annually)

The pay range above is the general base pay range for you in the state listed. Your actual salary/wage may be based on several factors, such as geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations. This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and your role.
