Controller | Onsite or Hybrid (3 Days Onsite / 2 Remote) | $100,000–$120,000

Location: Elkhart, Indiana

We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Controller to lead the accounting and finance function for a growing manufacturing organization in Elkhart, IN. This individual will play a key role in shaping financial operations, driving system and process improvements, and helping build out the department for future scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Lead and execute ERP and system implementation projects, improving automation, accuracy, and process flow.

  • Develop, train, and expand the accounting team to support organizational growth.

  • Manage cost accounting, margin analysis, and variance reporting to support operational decision-making.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

  • Partner with leadership on strategic planning, cash flow management, and business performance initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement across accounting and operational finance functions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing industry exposure.

  • Proficient in SAGE, QuickBooks, and experienced with ERP implementation and integration.

  • Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, margins, variances, and inventory control.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to build and lead a high-performing team.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional leaders.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Salary: $100,000–$120,000, based on experience.

  • Flexible onsite or 3/2 hybrid work schedule available.
