Job Description:

Shift:

3rd shift, flexible varied hours between Monday-Sunday

Participate in all operational aspects of the remote pharmacy service during assigned shifts. Enhance safe medication use practices by providing or augmenting pharmaceutical care in the medication use processes of hospital care providers remote to the organizations physical campus. Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years experience in a hospital setting to include all aspects of medication management, provision of drug information, and order entry required.
  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and business model and practices required.
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize, multitask, and handle complex problem solving required.
  • Ability to work with multiple computer systems simultaneously required.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate telephone and computer etiquette to portray a professional demeanor and emphasize excellence in customer service required.
  • Maintain current knowledge in modern pharmacokinetics, therapeutics, and pharmacology required.
  • Experience with typical office equipment (e.g., two computers with webcam/secure VPN connections/mouse and keyboard(s), keyboard switch, scanner/fax/printer, battery backup power supply (surge protection), cell phone, and paper shredder) required.
  • Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted upon start or transfer required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency preferred.
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice preferred.
