A great opportunity has become available for a Connections Coordinator to join us in this growth role!
This role will see you ensuring a commercial focus with all external parties requiring connections to the Transmission network in Victoria, with a view to provide timely and effective commercial network services from AusNet.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of our Customer Connections team within our Transmission line of business.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:
- Customer interface for commercial solutions to external customers in relation to connection enquiries/applications within Victoria to meet customer expectations
- Providing an interface between internal and external customers for the delivery of solutions in a timely and efficient manner to meet customers' expectations
- Responding to contestable tenders in a timely and cost-effective manner that is consistent with available information, constraints and probable consequences
- Commercial negotiation and contract administration that are value accretive for AusNet and provide value for Customers
- Managing and responding to connection enquiries and applications from AEMO, DBs, generators and load customers and ensure that regulatory obligations are met
- Preparation of high-quality business cases and obtaining relevant approvals
- Engaging with internal stakeholders and customers in development and finalisation of connection requests
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationship with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects
You don't need to tick every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role
- Working within the utilities or energy sector, with knowledge of the electricity transmission & sub transmission networks is highly advantageous
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Extensive knowledge of NERs as it relates to network connections
- Experience &/or knowledge of end-to-end project management
- Working within complex organisations and multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to prepare written submissions on technical or commercial issues
- Experience in the use of MS Excel required
